The Egg Drop Project is rapidly approaching! Students should be working to complete the egg drop project at home. Just in case, here are the instructions for the 5 steps of the Engineering Design Process that students will follow for this project:
Here are the due dates:
- EDP STep 1: due 10/9 (TUESDAY!)
- EDP Step 2-3: due 10/9 (TUESDAY!)
- EDP Step 4: due 10/9 (TUESDAY!) THIS MAY NOT BE TURNED IN LATE
- EDP Step 5: due 10/11 (THURSDAY!)

Monday
Students will explore STEAM careers based on Energy through the use of Learning Blade (available through Clever Portal). While students work, I will be pulling small groups to wrap up our Energy Unit understanding.
Homework: Finalize Egg Drop project!
Tuesday
Students will bring in their Egg Drop Project and Steps 1-4 of the Engineering Design Process to class for inspection. While inspection occurs, students will continue to work on Learning Blade.
Homework: Complete 10 minutes on Legends of Learning or Moby Max.
Wednesday
Egg Drop! If you would like to join us for the egg drop event, please come during your child’s science class hour and meet us on the soccer field!
Homework: Step 5 of the Egg Drop Project Engineering Design Process.
Thursday
Students will complete their Learning Blade career exploration.
Homework: None!
Friday
Students will not report to school
Students will not have school next week as it is Fall Break!!!!!!!! I hope you have a fabulous week! As always, assignments are subject to change and I will do my best to communicate those to you. Please feel free to contact me with any questions, comments, thoughts or concerns!
