October 29 - November 2, 2018

Welcome back to another exciting week!  We will continue studying populations, communities, biomes and their related organisms through their station activities!  Their assignment depends upon their pre-test data.  Students will be required to take a test by the end of class on Friday on their assigned topic.

Monday
Students will be in a special assembly.

Homework: Write a 3...2...1... Summary of today's special assembly.  Remember a 3...2...1... Summary is 3 things you've learned, 2 things you've reviewed and 1 thing you still want to know.

Tuesday
Students will continue to work on their station activities in class as they work to distinguish between biotic and abiotic, communities and populations, and the factors that influence the success or failure of each.

Homework: Choice of 10 minutes on Moby MaxLearning Blade, or Legends of Learning, or complete the Habitats and Ecosystems crossword puzzle (crossword counts as 2 homework assignments)

Wednesday
VSVS will be with us again this week!

Homework: Write a 3...2...1... Summary of today's VSVS visit.  Remember a 3...2...1... Summary is 3 things you've learned, 2 things you've reviewed and 1 thing you still want to know.

October 22 - 26, 2018

I hope you all had a fabulous Fall Break!  As we come back, we will begin looking at how energy transforms through our ecosystem!  We will be studying populations, communities, biomes and their related organisms.  Students will get plenty of opportunity for choice as we complete a broad variety of activities.

Monday
Students will complete a pre-test on Ecosystems (6.LS2.1-7).  Once done, students will be introduced to our second quarter project called " A Place for Starman to Land." Information needed to complete this project will be accumulated over the next 6 weeks by completing station activities.  Students will then learn about the available stations for the week and will begin working on them!

Homework: Choice of 10 minutes on Moby Max, Learning Blade, or Legends of Learning, or complete the Interactions of Living Things crossword puzzle (crossword counts as 2 homework assignments)
