September 3 - 7, 2018

I hope you enjoyed your long weekend as much as I did!  This week we will be finishing up our initial discussion on energy, focusing on the law of conservation of energy as well as energy transformations.  We will be completing a couple of labs as well!  Students will receive an abbreviated menu for the abbreviated week!  Additionally, we have finally received our textbook login information!  To get to your student online textbook, login to Clever, pick Pearson Bridge, log in using the student's COMPLETE EMAIL address.  The password is the student id.

Monday
No school!  Enjoy the holiday.

Homework: NO homework!

Tuesday
Students will turn in last week’s menu with all their evidence of learning stapled to it.  We will spend the rest of class reviewing the Need To Know (NTK) sheets for PS3.1PS3.2, and PS3.3. The Need to Know sheets are linked just in case! Students will work in groups to verify their understanding before the quiz Wednesday!  Finally, students will receive their abbreviated menu for the rest of the week as well as new NTK PS3.1b.  Links for menu items will be stored in Schoology (accessible for students through Clever).  New student menus are due at the beginning of class on Friday.  Here is a sample of the menu.  Students will be bringing home their Schoology parent account activation code so you can join the fun!

Homework: Complete one homework item from your menu.

Wednesday
We will be completing a Plicker quiz on PS3.1, PS3.2, and PS3.3. With any remaining time, students will work on their menu.  Their focus should be to complete at least one activity per day, but two activities per day would be ideal.  Student menus are due at the beginning of class on Friday.
