February 25 - March 1, 2019

We are nearing the end of our new content and getting ready to start out TN Ready reviews!  Using the QuizletsQuizizz and Kahoots and great practices to get ready for the big test.

Monday
Students will take the weather assessment that we missed on Friday.  They will have a chance to do in-class corrections when complete.
 
Tuesday
Students will complete test corrections, finish filming their weather forecast, and complete an assignment on Legends of Learning.
 

Wednesday
Students will be working with VSVS on an energy review.

Thursday
Peace, Love and Pearls will affect our class schedule and as we have a shorter period, we will have a small review activity. 

Friday
Students will begin to discuss ocean currents and how they are related to atmospheric currents.

February 18 - 22, 2019

This week we will be finalizing our unit on weather!  We have covered fronts and air masses, cloud formation, precipitation, the water cycle, the atmosphere and so much more!  At the end of the week, we will be taking a test on Weather!  Students should study each night for this test.

Monday
No School!

Tuesday
 
Students will use their recently acquired information to create a weather forecast with a partner.  They will then film their forecast to share with the class.  This will take two days.

Homework: Students should study for their weather test by using padlet, their online textbook, quizlet or quiziz.

Wednesday
Students will continue to work with their partner to create a weather forecast and film it. 

Homework: Students should study for their weather test by using padlet, their online textbook, quizlet or quiziz.

Thursday
Students will have an in-class weather review via Kahoot and Quizlet Live.

Homework: Students should study for their weather test by using padlet, their online textbook, quizlet or quiziz.

Friday
Students will complete an assessment on weather and other review topics.

Homework: None on Fridays.

February 4 - 8, 2019

This week we will be continuing our unit on weather!  We are talking about clouds and atmosphere, precipitation and air masses and fronts

Monday
Students will continue to work on The Intro to Weather Padlet.  They should be completing 2 assignments per day to stay current.
 
Homework: Students may complete 10 minutes of MobyMax, Learning Blade or Legends of Learning.  Alternatively, students may write a 3, 2, 1 reflection on their in class learning.  (3 things I learned, 2 things I already knew, and 1 thing I still want to know.)  It is due Tuesday.

Tuesday
Students will continue to work on The Intro to Weather Padlet.  They should be completing 2 assignments per day to stay current.

Homework: Students may complete 10 minutes of MobyMax, Learning Blade or Legends of Learning.  Alternatively, students may write a 3, 2, 1 reflection on their in class learning.  (3 things I learned, 2 things I already knew, and 1 thing I still want to know.)  It is due Wednesday.

Wednesday
Students will complete work on The Intro to Weather Padlet.  All activities should be complete and turned in by the end of class.

Homework: Students may complete 10 minutes of MobyMax, Learning Blade or Legends of Learning.  Alternatively, students may write a 8-sentence reflection on the assessment they took in class and their experience programming.  It is due Thursday.
Thursday
Students will complete a lab about cloud formation.

Homework: Students may complete 10 minutes of MobyMax, Learning Blade or Legends of Learning.  Alternatively, students must write an 8-sentence paragraph reflection on how they feel about their grade in class.  Their reflection must include at least one successful topic of understanding and at least one area for improvement.  It is due Friday.

Friday
Students will complete a lab about humidity and dew point.

Homework: None on Fridays.
